If this situation applies to you, move your furniture into the room\u2019s centre. Put it as far away from all four walls as it can go. Unscrew the covers and store them until the project reaches completion. If you leave their covers in your wall, the covers could end up with paint on them. Or, as painters try to avoid them, you may see a slim border of unpainted wall around the outlets.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;texto&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><strong>Remove light covers if you plan to paint the ceiling.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Many home owners like the dichromatic effect with coloured walls and a white ceiling. But if you want to paint your ceiling, remove light covers for the same reason you removed light switch and outlet covers.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;texto&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><strong>Dust all surfaces.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Now that you\u2019ve cleared obstacles from the room, begin preliminary cleaning. First, dust every surface, including the walls. Then vacuum the dust so it doesn\u2019t fluff into the air every time someone steps on the carpet.
